There is no point in collecting data for the sake of it. Nor is there a point in generating insight without ability to act on it. Our Business Unit Data Insights at Division X focuses on leveraging internal Telia data as well as partner data to create compelling products & offerings for our customers that they can use to empower and grow their business.
A key part of our strategy to win the Location Intelligence market is to have cutting edge, relevant, automatized, easy-to-use services and add-ons available online. We will need to constantly tweak and tune not only our products, packaging and offerings but also the experience of using them. For most of the offerings we use Tableau, and focus heavily on the geospatial visualizations. Geospatial data is complex by itself and visualizing that in an understandable and intuitive way is a great challenge for a talented frontend developer.
You will be a part of an emerging and growing Product Management organization working side-by-side with your colleagues consisting of Product Managers and UX-professionals. You will assure that complex temporal and geospatial data structures and dependencies are presented in an intuitive and graspable way providing the users with the insights needed. If you have a broad understanding of the GIS technology landscape, the ability to design reports, have strong analytical skills and you are comfortable in creating technical solutions and conducting tests – this challenge is right for you!
Responsibilities:

Your work will lie primarily within the areas of data analysis, visualization, UX design.
You will be responsible for developing our data analytics offerings in Tableau, and in the future in other GIS/data visualisation tools.
You should be able to define clear requirements towards data engineering for data sources and structures needed feed the dashboards. However, you also need to be prepared to work in BigQuery and other GCP solutions yourself.
In close collaboration with data engineers and data scientists, you will conduct data validation and do troubleshooting.
You will work together with the business developers to break down and understand user stories, and assure that customer needs are met through good visualizations and UX-design.
Together with the technical product manager you will plan sprints and product releases in JIRA.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Degree on a Univeristy level in a related field (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics or similar)
Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, data visualization and product design.
Extensive experience in developing and maintaining analyses and dashboards in Tableau.
Working knowledge of Tableau Server architecture.
Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience in cloud environments like GCP, AWS etc.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (using tools such as Scrum/Kanban boards, JIRA).
Programming skills (primarily, Python) are a strong benefit.
Experience with other data visualization and GIS tools (e.g. Carto, ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus.
