UI/Visual Designer

Scandic Hotels is offering a central position in running one of the largest E-commerce business within the Travel Industry in the Nordics. Scandic Hotels has more than 280 hotels, at 130 destinations across the Nordics, Germany and Poland, where over 30 000 people get a new experience every day.

YOUR WEEKDAY
We are looking for a strong visual, social and structured UI designer that has data and brand in mind. As a part of the E-commerce & Digital Innovation team you will be in a high pace environment with the focus to deliver a world class digital experience for our guests.

As a UI designer you will constantly shape the Scandic Hotels digital products based on brand guidelines and data driven decisions. You’ll work either independently or in conjunction with Product owners, Art director, UX designers and developers to deliver a seamless customer journey that increases conversion, guest satisfaction and helps drive business goals.

WHO ARE YOU?
You are a master of your craft. You are a problem-solver, a restless design thinker and fast learner. You are not afraid of negative space, in love with typography and you feel comfortable with color combination. You can easily collaborate with UX designers and transfer prototypes from low to high fidelity design. Having patience, talking to developers and going back and forth until you are completely satisfied with the smallest details is not a big thing for you. Agile way of working is the only way of working.

EXPERIENCE

- 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience from E-commerce
- Experience working with responsive web, mobile, apps, other digital interfaces
- Understanding platform native approach
- Know the difference between Material and Human interface design
- Experience with design system and know atomic design
- Can produce micro animations and interactions
- Good skills with presenting design
- A proven history of using data to drive decision making
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Good understanding of web accessibility standards
- You have a positive attitude and are a great collaborator

Full time. Place: Scandic Hotels Headquarter at Norrtull, Sveavägen 167. Access: Immediately within possible notice period. Applications will be processed continuously. The team is part of the Customer Journey vertical, and you will report directly to the Director of E-commerce & Digital Innovation.
