Frontend Developer

We are now looking for a talented frontend developer. Our development team consists of a great mix of software developers, quality assurance and usability expertise. Our system is today built on a mix of Java and PHP on the server side, apps in Objective-C and Java and a mix of Adobe Flex/ActionScript and HTML5/CSS/JavaScript for our client applications.

The role and key responsibilities

In the role of a frontend web developer you will be working in an agile team together with highly versatile and diverse colleagues; building our new web-based frontend platform. The team enjoys an autonomous way of working and continuously improve its own processes, tooling options and skills (through “Hack time” every Friday and “Tech lunches”).

The platform, built on bleeding edge technologies and with an ever-green mentality, is expected to be fast, modularized and backed with a high degree of test-coverage and automation. Enabling effortless development and - both technical as well as product - adaptability.

You will also be responsible for

• Implement the next generation of Quinyx applications
• Write high quality, performant and maintainable code
• Work efficiently across different teams in order to create an excellent product experience
• Participate in design, architecture and code reviews - as part of the standard process
• Take full ownership of your own and your team deliveries - from design, implementation to deployment
• Identify, discuss and communicate best practices for frontend engineering

We are looking for someone who has got

• Extensive experience of building complex JavaScript applications
• Minimum of 3 years working experience with a couple of work samples to demonstrate your skills
• Expert knowledge, interest and deep understanding of modern web technologies and their respective standards (HTML, CSS)
• Aware of, but not reliant on, prominent JavaScript frameworks (i.e. JQuery, Backbone, React, CoffeeScript)
• Ability to tackle difficult problems and accept challenges as something positive
• Intellectual, explorative, innovative, taking initiative and passionate towards work, people and technology
• Experience of using build tools, automation, testing frameworks, methodologies, debugging and benchmarking on a daily basis
• Relevant academic degree within a technical field
• Excellent English, both spoken and written
