About the position

We are looking for Data Engineers to join us, one of Sweden’s largest Business Intelligence departments, where you have a key role in developing and designing BI solutions.

You will join an agile team within Service Area BI where you will have a key role in delivering value to a fast moving, high-demanding business.

The work includes designing, development and testing and it is important to have an interest in understanding the business value and work iteratively together with business stakeholders and take ownership of what is developed. Also support towards business stakeholders is included. At Business Intelligence we have several teams working in close collaboration with business in Sales Online, Sales Store, Assortment, Marketing, Expansion, Exploratory Analytics, Production, Payments, Logistics and in Core data.

In the service area Business Intelligence, we develop BI solutions to help our business units make the right strategic and operational decisions. The demand for BI solutions is high and is expected to grow as the need for decision support is growing in most business functions.

We are in the middle of an expansive phase where we are moving towards a new technical platform from an on prem solution to an Azure cloud solution. You have the chance to be part of this journey.

We believe that you are a person who will come up with creative ideas and solutions for how to solve the analysis needs that our business requires. In other words, you have great influence in providing the analytics that’s making our business successful. You have a big interest in how the BI solution supports the business value chain and will enjoy being involved in every step from start to finish in the development process.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis and understanding of business requirements and assure that the solution meets both business and IT requirements, as well as translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Responsible for designing and develop ETL and cube solution
• Responsible for designing, developing and setup of integrations to a full data warehouse solution
• Be part of a development team and interacting with several surrounding stakeholders, within both business and IT
• Support, job monitoring

Your mindset & skills:

• SQL and foundational knowledge of databased infrastructure
• Appreciate to work in a constantly changing business and in a dynamic environment
• Driven and have a great sense of responsibility
• Have analysis ability and skills
• You are structured and analytic
• Have the ability to communicate and build relations with different types of people and roles within both the business and IT
• Participate in the analysis and understanding of business requirements and assure that the solution meets both business and IT requirements, as well as translating business requirements into technical solutions

A Plus is if you have:

• Experience and knowledge of Agile development and methodology
• Experience of working in distributed teams
• Experience and knowledge of Azure
• Experience of Python
• Experience of Power BI
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes
• Experience in retail

Tools used:

Our solution is built on Microsoft BI Technology using: SSIS, SSMS, SSAS, Azure Data warehouse, Informatica PowerCenter, ER studio, Microsoft SQL server, Power BI.
