Virtusize is a Stockholm based startup solving the problem of size and fit when shopping for clothes online. We are passionate about technology and the booming e-commerce market. Virtusize provides a SaaS solution that currently revolutionizes the way online retailers illustrate size and fit.

Our product is used by consumers in more than 100 countries, at some of the largest retailers in the world. The goal is to become the essential tool for people around the world when they shop for clothes online - the PayPal of size and fit. Our headquarters is located in Stockholm and we have local offices in Tokyo, Berlin & NY. We are in a phase of rapid expansion and are looking for talented developers to join our office in central Stockholm.

Are you the one?
We are looking for experienced programmers, who know more than one language, but have a special place in their hearts for Python. Our common interest is code and geeking out, and our start page is Hacker News.

How we work
Our platform consists of a Python REST backend (built on top of Flask) and multiple HTML5 apps, with Redis, ElasticSearch and Node.js - thrown in for flavor. All hosted across AWS, Linode and Digital Ocean.
We have daily standups and employ a scrum light workflow. We prefer peace and quiet in our office so we can focus on the problems at hand.

We employ GitFlow as our branching model and perform code review on almost all of our code before it is merged to develop.
Automated testing is very important to us. The backend projects have between 59% and 90% line coverage, depending on the project.

We love OS X and Linux, and dislike IE (with a passion).

What about the role?
We prefer generalists that like to poke around in both frontend and backend code from time to time. Although it is not a requirement to know frontend and the primary focus will be to expand our REST API, making sure it is well tested and documented, support our mobile rollout and build a customer analytics dashboard. There will also be time to add app metrics, reduce latency and work towards our goal of continuous deployment.

Requirements:
Python
Experience in a backend/generalist web role
BSc in Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or equivalent
Passionate about automated testing

Meriting skills:
JavaScript, Node.js and other languages
Working knowledge of AWS
Any of: Spark, Hadoop, Pig, Hive
Any experience with: Django, Flask, Redis, ElasticSearch
Participation in open source projects
