Headquartered in central Copenhagen, Getinge IT Solutions develops T-DOC – a world leading system for traceability and documentation of sterile instruments. T-DOC is a mixture between an ERP system, a production control system, a workflow control system, a documentation system and a tracking system. The system is an essential part of running the more than 1.200 hospitals worldwide, where it is installed. Getinge IT Solutions R&D department consists of 30 highly skilled engineers, including software architects, developers, UX designers, QA/testers and technical writers.

We have an agile mentality and feel a significant amount of pride in our work and we are now looking for two innovative and passionate Software Architects to join our successful R&D team!

The position
Overall, your work will involve creating new features, expanding existing functionality and moving existing functionality to a new architecture. Together with the Chief Architect, you will be involved in all aspects of the development process.

Your key responsibilities and work tasks include:
- Validating requirements and user stories (as well as sometimes creating them)
- Create design specifications and provide input to UX design
- Mentoring junior- and senior developers on how to implement
- Contribute to company-wide innovation
- Implement "crucial" code yourself, when required
- Specialize your qualifications in certain areas and function as a Product owner
- Review/follow the work made by developer teams
- Provide guidance to the QA team

In order to perform your job, you will also need to become intimately familiar with how the end-users are actually using the software.
Travel is estimated to a maximum of 15 days per year.

The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position, you have a strong developer/programmer background together with excellent design skills. You have the ability to guide other developers in how to implement what has been designed, and you feel comfortable doing so. Further, you have a passion for creating a scalable, maintainable and flexible architecture and an ability to code "anything" yourself if needed, but you also know when less experienced developers can take over.

Required qualifications include:

- Minimum of five years' programming experience with Delphi/Object Pascal and C++ or C#
- Thorough knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Preferably MS SQL Server)
- Thorough knowledge about developing software for the Windows platform
- Experience of multi-threaded applications
- Experience of design of application frameworks
- Experience of creating Requirements, Design and Functional specifications
- Experience of guiding smaller teams of developers
- Ability to speak and write English on a business level

Beneficial qualifications include:
- Experience of design of SOA frameworks/APIs
- Experience of REST/JSON
- Experience of interfacing systems using standards such as HL7
- Experience of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Experience of Medical Device software
