Responsibilities
As an Embedded Real-time Operating Systems Expert you will be a key contributor to a global team working with our Vision and Safety products. Vision & Safety is developing advanced camera based system that will replace mirrors and enhance safety for commercial vehicles. We are working with the latest in camera image sensors, high speed digital data communication, image processing, FPGAs and displays. The products within Vision and Safety are true embedded systems for automotive with powerful microcontrollers to support the various functions. At Stoneridge you will work with both real- time OS as well as with Linux and other higher-level operating systems. In this role, you will contribute with your expertise in architecting, dimensioning and selecting the appropriate (RT)OSes/Hypervisors for each MCU in order to safely support the intended functions, this work also involves hands-on SW development skills to bring-up these systems.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a strong drive for results and a good ability to transform requirements to implementation. As the OS is often seen as a gateway between pure application SW and HW, team play, agile working methodologies and clear communication skills are a must to succeed.
We also believe that you have:
- Master of Science or equivalent in relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics)
- Experience in integrating Linux OS in automotive products
- Good understanding of the various Embedded OSes and Hypervisors, e.g. Windriver, QNX, VxWorks, Xen, etc.
- Expert skills in build systems: Git, Yocto, OpenEmbedded, Jira, Jenkins
- Great skills in low-level embedded Linux software development, in C and C++
- Good knowledge in English, both written and spoken
Meritorious:
- Good understanding of functional safety ISO26262
- Earlier experience from the vehicle industry
- Familiarity with Zynq 7000 or Ultrascale+ MPSoCs including PetaLinux
- Good understanding of hardware product development
