Remedy Software Engineer

We are looking for a Remedy Software engineer, a full-stack developer to Production organization within Telia IT. In Production, we continuously consolidate and develop our OSS solutions , thereby, Simplicity and Automation are driving our activities to support business and stakeholders in the most efficient way. Your next challenge?

As a Remedy Software Engineer you will be part of our multinational Agile DevOps team and focusing mainly to solution development but also assisting in daily operations with your solution and platform knowledge. You will be working within a wide range of diverse technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

• As a software engineer/developer, supported by DevOps colleagues, you will be building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware and improve its performancem or upgrade interfaces. In short, as s part of the developer & designer community, you ensure the high-quality e2e solutions supporting our users working in and developing Service Assurance processes and solutions.
• As part of this IT Capability team, you will be involved in e.g. unit and system testing through Sprint development cycles.
• “Own your code”; all time make sure your work is of high quality.
• Documenting your software develoment transparently and according to best practises.
• With your platform administration skills, you support our DevOps Engineers and Application Maintenance responsible for BMC Remedy support and administration, especially in problem solving.

Who are you?

Knowledge and experience:

• You have a technical background, university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of software development life-cycle and general concepts of software engineering.
• A Certified Remedy developer, or a developer with a solid, min. 5 yrs Remedy platform and solution develoment experience.
• Remedy v.19.02, SmartIT 1.5 / 2.0 / 18.05, MyIT 2.6, general UI techchnologies, Databases e.g. Oracle/My SQL.
• Experience working as software developer in big software development projects and/or in an international Agile team.
• Knowledge of eTOM, SID, Web Development (HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, MongoDB, Angular), OpenAPI, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, SonarQube, Bamboo, Jenkins, Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge of Service Assurance key processes Incident, Change and Problem Management in a wide e2e system landscape is a must. Telecom industry knowkedge is a plus.
• Strcutured issue and problem investigation skills with ability to turn findings into corrective actions.
• ITIL and general IT Service Management certification and experience is a plus.

• Excellent structured communication in oral/written in English.
• Excellent in time and project management making things happen.
• You understand the importance of good planning when delivering quality.
• You like to solve tasks as an individual or in virtual teams, where the ambition is to grow together with the team to a high level in Agile and DevOps maturity.
• You are positive and open for new ideas and can present them structured way to stakeholders.
