We are looking for Integration & Validation engineers, who can contribute to Ericsson's market-leading 5G cloud packet core products and solutions.

Our department, PDG Solutions, is developing products and solution for the Ericsson Cloud Core – one cloud packet core for all accesses and services, with dual-mode operations, 4G and 5G. We develop and deliver e.g. Massive IOT, Mobile Broadband, Enterprise Core, Communication Packet core, etc. What we do is a vital part of the accelerating digital transformation building our networked society where everything that can be connected will be connected. We are also involved in the development and integration & verification of Continuous Delivery & Deployment (CD&D).

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SW developer wanting to work with our Core Network cloud deployments, capable of operating in an environment of swift trend-shifts and the latest technologies.

As a successful candidate, you are a very engaged and skillful developer with great understanding for what it means to develop quality software. You have good knowledge of virtual- and cloud environments, and you are strong at rapidly building new competence proactively as well as when need arise. You must have SW architectural interest and can identify need for restructuring and refactoring and drive a long-term perspective of the evolution of our common tool for supporting deployment & orchestration of Cloud based Core Network products (e.g. IMS and EPC) and solutions (e.g. Private Networks, Enterprise Core and IoT). You have a good customer understanding and by that you are dedicated to achieving the goals of your team. Team success, deliver on time with quality is no 1 for you. You act as mentor for new employees.

You will be a lead developer in a small core team and you will also be part of a global cross organizational team of highly competent developers’ working in an Ericsson inner source project.

As lead developer you are responsible to drive and be guardian of code quality, architecture and CI. And you will also take part in feature development.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Technical competence wanted:
  • Excellent Python programming skills
  • Skills as Linux End User and Administrator
  • General shell scripting, e.g. BASH
  • Virtualization knowledge
  • General Datacom competence (TCP/IP, switching/routing, Wireshark, networking)
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good system integration/implementation experience

Preferred Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • OpenStack knowledge/hands-on experience
  • Experience working with VMware and/or RedHat OpenStack is a major plus
  • Tool/environment knowledge, e.g. JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Gerrit, etc.
