Node.js Software Engineer

KanbanFlow is a project collaboration and productivity tool with built-in time tracking. The tool is used by over a quarter million users world-wide.

Our vision is to create the best Kanban product on the market. It should be simple to use, yet flexible enough for most companies’ needs. We want your help to accomplish that.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented software engineer that is comfortable working with both the frontend and backend.

We believe that you are a person who strives to constantly evolve your skills, is curious and loves to learn new things.

We use Node.js on the backend, but previous knowledge of Node.js is not a strict requirement. We believe that a skilled programmer can quickly learn new technologies.

We are a small company so you will have a great opportunity to influence both the direction of the product and how we work internally. You will be working tightly with the rest of the team on all parts of the system.

THINGS WE DO

• We do pair programming to increase code quality and spread knowledge
• We apply TDD on most non-trivial code
• We release new versions on a daily or weekly basis
• We use KanbanFlow to plan our work

• We invest in a good working environment. All members of the team have 3 large monitors, powerful computers, mechanical keyboards, adjustable standing desks and other ergonomical aids.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent Javascript skills
• Experience with test automation and test-driven design

• Experience with Node.js
• Interest in UI/UX design
• MSc or BSc in Computer Science
• Experience with micro-service architectures
• Experience with scalability and distributed systems
• Experience with CQRS and event-sourcing
• Experience with NoSQL databases
• Experience with Linux/Unix
