What you'll be up to:

You´ll be part of the "Communications" domain and our team works on all aspects of peer-to-peer communication at Blocket.se. We develop and maintain our products and services for chat, push and email to and between our users.

And communicate, they do - our users send more than 300.000+ messages every day using our systems and on top of that, we handle hundreds of thousands of emails and push notifications on a daily basis.

The team is cross-functional and consists of 10-12 developers, usually working in two (or more) separate streams.

As Domain Tech Lead (DTL) you will be a lead developer responsible for the technical stability, quality, technical direction and vision for the "Communications" domain. You enjoy solving problems, team-wins and coaching other devs.

Our current tech stack includes: Python, Go, JS, React, Docker, Kafka, AWS and the most important thing is that you like to try and learn new stuff - you are not expected to know all the whole tech stack from the start, we do however want you to have tried different languages/tech solutions for different problems and view languages as a way of solving problems.

Who you are

It´s fair to say that you love sw development, creating online products and learning new things as you go along. You have a soft spot for really digging in to a domain in depth and enjoy creating solutions focusing on performance, scalability and sustainability. Oh, and of course you put the team first, share your knowledge in a nurturing manner and are, you know, nice.

Background/skills

- You have at least 5+ years of experience as a developer, have tried out a few different languages and like to learn new things
- Taking ownership of a domain is something that you really enjoy
- Coaching and nurturing developers comes easy for you. Sharing is caring!

Bonus

- Experience from developing solutions for online market places
- Have experience from roles as Tech Lead, Domain Lead or Lead Developer
- Experience from working in a few different environments and perhaps even started or worked for a start-up
