YOUR CHALLENGE

You will join the team that develops, tests and maintains our global sales web applications. The services we build rely on a range of technologies such as contentful, commerceTools, node.js and AWS services in the backend and React, fastly and Gatsby in the frontend. It also depends on payment, distribution and order logistics integrations. Our services are used from people all over the world, hence security, performance, and scalability are aspects we value deeply.

As a React developer you will join a cross functional team and build, test and maintain our global product according to business requirements while considering the application as a whole and keeping quality, performance and accessibility top of mind.

As an experienced developer you will coach junior colleagues. You will collaborate with colleagues in China who develops a local version of our product. You will also facilitate and/or participate in pair programming, mob sessions etc. You will communicate and work closely with developers an stakeholders such as UX, content managers, customer service, architects and Product Owners.

As a part of an agile team you will actively participate in iterating over our process and way of working and continuously provide suggestions on improvement. You will help pushing us forward by being a challenger and by providing and accepting feedback.

We think that you:

• have proven 5+ years of experience in building commercial JavaScript web applications
• have proven 2+ years of experience in building commercial React web applications
• have a deep understanding of ES6 and React
• have experience writing unit testing with Jest, Karma, Mocha etc.
• are experienced with different styling solutions such us: PostCSS, CSS Modules, Styled Components
• can facilitate technical discussions around design, processes and testing
• can communicate with technical colleagues and other stakeholders
• are forward leaning and that you take ownership and initiatives
• are used to working in an agile environment

It would be great if you also:

• have experience working with E-Com or CMS driven web applications
• have experience building PWA static pages with Gatsby, Hugo or Jekyll
• are familiar with TypeScript
• are comfortable in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
• are experienced in AWS cloud environment or similar software
