Java Developer

iZettle lets anyone take secure card payments with their smartphones or tablets. The fast-growing start-up was founded in 2010 and currently has 200 employees across its offices in Berlin, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Stockholm (HQ).

Today at Tech, we’re around 50 people. Our self-directed teams are continuously looking for people with strong knowledge and expertise in Backend, DevOps, Android, iOS, Web, Test and Hardware. We have a passionate, open and friendly culture and we're constantly reviewing our work, learning from each other, and sharing our knowledge.

Responsibilities

There's always something new and exciting going on. Some things we're working on are: our global and distributed payments platform, site reliability, performance optimization, external APIs, security and fraud analysis. These are complex challenges, but they're all hidden behind a beautiful and easy to use customer interface. The way we see it, great code is the way to go in turning the rocket science that is the global payments system into everyday life.

Requirements

You're a proven developer and are perhaps looking for the next big thing? We assume you have a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. You should be familiar with issues of large-scale system performance and growth, and also have solid hands-on experience with many of the technologies currently in use. Furthermore, you possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced organization. It's also of great interest to us if you have knowledge and experience in:
