About the job
We at AFRY (former ÅF and Pöyry) are now searching for a new consultant with the profile DevOps Engineer for one of our customers.
In this assignment you are hired on a project basis at AFRY, with the ambition to go into an employment at our customer after 9 months.
The customer
St1 is a Nordic energy company with a vision of becoming the leading producer and seller of CO2-aware energy. So far, St1 has bioethanol plants in Finland; an oil refinery in Gothenburg, Sweden; and service stations in Finland, Sweden and Norway.
The cornerstone of our business is the sale of liquid fuels for transport and heating use to consumers and the corporate sector. In the petrol station business, we have St1 and Shell networks, the latter under a license agreement.
Our strong performance in the traditional oil business enables us to invest in the future and to build a solid foundation for realizing our vision through renewable energy. We are already recycling waste for fuel and using wind power to produce electricity. In the spirit of our vision, each of our solutions must be technically and economically feasible and ecologically sustainable –
today.
Your main tasks together with the team are to

Taking automation engineer role in ST1 infrastructure team
Being part of team who ensures that automation, metrics, logs, etc. are further developed
Becoming an automation expert having focus on automation & orchestration of tools
Making sure that automation, monitoring and all associated processes are providing the best possible feedback to all stakeholders
Being part of Developing and updating business continuity and disaster recovery protocols
Sharing information and provide technical advice to colleagues
Developing tools for application developers and helping them with devops related work

Who are you?
You are passionate about Cloud/Hybrid IT and its associated technologies including Azure and Google cloud platforms with emphasis on infrastructure and automation. You have an "Automate everything" attitude and ability to quickly learn, understand and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions. You are part of the team making sure that cloud infrastructure is well designed, and all automation is in place. Therefore you need to have interest and/or experience in agile software development and teamwork. We encourage you to be curious and take initiatives to get to know your team and how you and the team can deliver together.
You need to have

A documented degree within Computer Science, Software engineering or related degree or certification
Understanding of Cloud/Hybrid IT and its associated technologies including Azure and Google cloud platforms
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as continuous integration, continuous delivery
Knowledge of DevOps tools – such as Bamboo/Jenkins, Git/bitbucket, Jira, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Ability to script with at least one programming language (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
Understanding of Database, Networking and AD
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
Fluency in Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian is considered a strong advantage
