We are seeking an experienced Back-End Developer to join our MoneyTech Team in Stockholm. At MoneyTech, our core mission consists in building the Financial Platform that closes the gap between our Product and our Finance teams. This way, we enable our product to grow freely and our Finance team to keep the pace. As a Back-End Developer here, you will be given the opportunity to actively contribute to all aspects of the backend in addition to getting involved in all facets of Software engineering including infrastructure, data, application, deployment, monitoring, architecture, code reviews, pair / mob programming, and more.

In this context, scalability and monitoring are crucial, testing is as important as production code itself, and we write code for the developers that will come next instead of simply writing code that works. With that in mind, we believe in using the best tools for the task. We continuously review our toolkit, architecture and ways of working, and we’re open to new tools and frameworks as long as they can help the cause. Today we work with Java 14, Dropwizard, Wildfly, Docker, Terraform, PostgreSQL. Everything is hosted on Amazon Web Services.

The skills and abilities you need to succeed:

To succeed, we believe that you would greatly benefit from having a proven experience with:

• Building distributed systems;
• Working with continuously delivered systems;
• Programming in Java 8+
• SQL and data modelling;
• Pair/Mob programming.

The key traits you will need to exceed:

• You are a true team player known for being reliable, curious and bold, and who constantly thinks about the next developer(s) while coding;
• You gladly share your knowledge, experience and opinions while understanding and respecting that the last word comes from the team;
• You make it fun and wouldn't mind playing Dominion after lunch.

Earn extra points if you are versed in:

• AWS platform;
• Unix Linux OS;
• Accounting (principles, lingo);
• FinTech or/and Financial services.
