Data Analyst who digs to dig

Zimpler is a fast growing start-up within the mobile payment industry. By simplifying the purchase experience, and with a focus on ease-of-use, we are already processing millions SEK each week in Sweden and Finland. We are enthusiastic and determined to make Zimpler the next success story.

Now we are seeking a data scientist or business analyst that will join our team in Gothenburg to take our data-driven approach to the next step. We collect loads of data, and we do have some nice tools in place to make sense of them, but there are still vast treasures to be found!

Responsibilities
Working together with our skilled developers and experienced business team, you will be the key person to make sure that we base decisions on solid information, and that we make the most out of the volumes that we process. This will include a full range of activities including collection, aggregation, normalisation, visualisation, and modelling of our data.

Qualifications
This is what we picture:

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Relevant previous experience.
• Decent programming and scripting skills.
• A self motivated, hands-on and pragmatic approach to getting things done.

Meritifications
Yes, we just made that word up. We think it would be great if you also have some of these experiences and skills:

• Fraud and risk modelling.
• Data mining, statistical modelling and machine learning.
• KPIs and business driven metrics.
• Elasticsearch, Kibana, d3.js and similar web based tools.
• SQL and noSQL databases.
• Advanced analytical tools like R, Matlab etc.
• A preference for open source.
