Application Development Platform (ADP) framework is the way forward at Business Area Digital Services (BDGS) for developing cloud native applications, following a modern design pattern: microservice architecture based on container technology and Kubernetes orchestration. This new development methodology aligns Ericsson with the industry direction, enabling faster time to market through instant reuse, collaboration and provides an opportunity for early alignment across Ericsson applications.

Anchor Development & Operations is a unit within Product Development Unit (PDU) Component Development, part of BDGS Research&Development and Portfolio. We are responsible for ADP Anchor operations currently manned by six teams of developers, and we are growing.

Job Summary:

ADP Anchor is at the core of BDGS ADP program and responsible for CI/CD on multiple cloud environments, generic micro-services integration and staging, onboarding of new applications and reusable micro-services, product release automation, tutorials and playground, framework policies, and ADP support. We are hiring experienced developers in several areas and this ad is focusing on ADP CICD area.

We are now looking for an additional developer and team member for one of the two ADP CICD teams. Currently, there are nine developers in the ADP CICD area.

Responsibilities:

  • ADP CI/CD pipeline development based on Docker container, Kubernetes and Helm technology
  • ADP dashboard development for visualization of the CI/CD pipeline
  • ADP staging test analysis, ADP test microservice and test case development
  • ADP test execution and troubleshooting
  • ADP CI/CD tools and utility development
  • ADP Staging operations of all ADP generic and reusable microservices.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of working and troubleshooting in a Linux environment
  • Experience of designing cloud native microservices using Docker and deploying in Kubernetes using Helm is important.
  • Prior ADP knowledge is a huge plus
  • Shown experience of Java and JCAT
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Wide knowledge of CI/CD, preferably using Jenkins (freestyle/pipelines project).
  • Good knowledge on SCM tools like GIT, Gerrit.
  • Should be aware of any work flow engines, like Spinnaker.
  • Able and ready to work according to Agile methodologies
