Principal Architect to Nasdaq

Help write the blueprint for the future software products of Nasdaq!

Your architectural knowledge is needed to help build our up & coming products as well as ensure a consistent and harmonious product suite and eco system. You will be responsible for drawing the technical roadmap within a product domain, anchoring it to the overall business strategy. You’ll also work in close collaboration with your architect peers, VP of product architecture, product management and other key stake holders to ensure we accomplish the goal of a synchronized and well-planned product suite.

You will

In your role you´ll be a key player in creating and supervising the development of our product architecture in close collaboration with our engineering teams and product management.

• You´ll be creating the architecture and overall technical design for your product area, thus ensuring a clear and cohesive technical roadmap in alignment with the business strategies within product management.
• You´ll lead initiatives within the assigned product domain, and align software development in accordance to set strategies. Through this approach you´ll assure that the products will provide the necessary robustness, functionality, scalability and performance.
• You will, together with your architectural colleagues, be moving towards accomplishing a synchronized product suite while helping us on the journey of implementing new technologies.

You are

You are an accomplished software architect with a deeper understanding of how to build distributed systems, considering the infrastructural aspects. Your experience includes setting the technical framework for products. You have a thorough understanding on how to build high performance systems, especially around providing low latency, horizontal/vertical scaling, high availability, redundancy and overall robustness while utilizing new technology.

You have maintained an understanding of code (Java) and have knowledge of DB/SQL as well as deployment. You adhere to agile principles and thrive in transformational journeys.

Ideally, you also have experience in implementing high performance software in the cloud as well as implementing systems using microservice architecture and “ready for cloud” containerized software.
