Cloud and Splunk DevOps Specialist

Job description

· Design, build, deploy and maintain cloud- based application platform (e.g Splunk Monitoring Platform)

· Manage Splunk knowledge objects (apps, Dashboards, Saved Searches, Scheduled Searches, Alerts)

· Develop automation for Cloud environment (AWS or Azure)

· System administration for Cloud based Linux/Unix platform VMs

· Design and build data integration between Cloud Monitoring solutions, Splunk and ITSM tools (e.g ServiceNow)

· Conduct performance monitoring, user administration, security configuration and network configuration for Cloud based Splunk platform

· Configure various data integration with data sources through HEC (http Event Collector) or other methodologies

· Configure alerts and event management module

· Perform Index administration, maintenance and optimization

· Configuration backup and restore

Core skills

· Good experience with AWS or Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions (certified will be a plus)

· Experience with Splunk as a monitoring platform (Splunk Certification will be a plus)

· Strong development knowledge with Python, JSON and other scripting language

· Good experience with Cloud automation tasks like AWS Lambda, or Azure LogicApps

· Unix/Linux administration skills

· Strong Unix scripting skills

· Experience with IT Operation and Monitoring toolsets

· Foundation knowledge for database, IT Operation and BI

Good to have experience

· Certified knowledge for the Cloud platforms like AWS and Azure

· Certified knowledge for Splunk

· Knowledge and experience with Kubernates and container tech is a plus

· BI experience will be a plus

· Knowledge with SQL and other query languages is a plus

· Knowledge with monitoring tools and event management is a plus
