We are now looking for a Software Developer to join our Firmware Applications team within Research & Development (R&D).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Being a software developer at Axis means that you will be working with new technology in a very talented and devoted team of engineers. We offer a fast-paced, innovative, team-oriented culture characterized by openness, with plenty of opportunities to grow as a professional and as an individual.

The Firmware Applications team is a team within the Firmware Platform department. The team is responsible for developing applications and add-ons on top of the Linux Firmware Platform. We are working very closely with parallel teams and with Product Management. And we are a team that like to work together and have fun at work!

At the moment we are looking for a developer, a C-programmer, to work with feature development combined with general software engineering in the development of add-ons on our Linux platform. You will work in a team of very competent engineers and you will have all possibilities to affect your own work.

The role as software developer is quite wide and will offer anything from analysis, design, early prototypes, Python script tests and development of software. You will use your full tool-box of Engineering skills including innovation skills and advanced problem solving.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest in technology and programming. You have a Master of Science degree and experience in SW development. You have a couple of years of working experience. You have experience from C-programming in a Linux environment.

We furthermore think you are a curious and result-oriented person that can work well on your own or in a team. You have very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and in writing.

In addition to the above, experience from the following areas is meriting:

* Embedded systems development
* Development and trouble shooting of embedded systems
* Contribution to open source projects
* Python
* Git, Gerrit, GDB
* IP networks
* Packet based installation methods e.g. RPM, DEB, IPK
* Agile development e.g. scrum
