Senior Advisor industrial design

We are looking for our next senior advisor in industrial design to Knightec's Stockholm office.

What is Knightec?
Knightec has historically worked with competences in classical engineering disciplines, such as software development, mechanical engineering, and electronics. But we felt something was missing. Knightec's values are based on putting people in focus and we of course also want to make that our offer to customers, therefore we are involved in and drive the transformation with humans in focus in the industry too!

Industrial design, the mix of digital and physical design, and is a crucial part of tying together our overall expertise and making something Sweden unique. Creating and designing products that affect people's lives and puts the user at the center.

Since we started our team of experts in UX / UI and industrial design, we have become one of Stockholm's three largest in this area. We are now ready to take it to the next level and become the biggest in Sweden. This is where you step in!

What does the role mean?
You like to work directly with the design phase, both in conceptualization and prototyping, which are then transformed into concrete design proposals. The products must be developed based on the user's needs and taking into account the limitations and opportunities provided by the technology. But always focusing on what is most important, the user. You are the interface between technology and man.

For you the environment and the climate is very important, circular design is here to stay and you want to be a part of making this the "new black". In this role, you are expected to keep up-to-date with trends and developments both at home and internationally. This is something that comes naturally to you.

At Knightec working in cross-functional teams and great collaborations is essential. We have experts in several different competencies and areas of knowledge, such as software development, mechanical engineering, and project management. You will be the one who guides and leads the teams in design matters and this means that your ability to highlight and communicate concepts and ideas is of great importance.

Who are you?
You are used to and enjoy working on projects with great complexity. Although you can take on strategic roles, you want to be hands-on in your work to get the outlet for your creative pursuits.

You do not think inside the box but see innovation as part of your daily work. Your previous projects have probably won awards and received international attention.

You are a person who makes a big mark on projects that you are involved in and do not believe that there is something that is "good enough" when it comes to your efforts.

You have knowledge and understanding of how the entire design process and technical understanding for creating product concepts that take into account the process and production costs.

Our customers are active in many different areas, including MedTech & Life science, vehicles, the defense industry, consumer products, and telecom. We believe you have been in one or more of these.
