DevOps & Infra Automation Engineer

I am Muhammad Raqib Rafique and I am leading Platform Services unit within Data & Analytics IT SE, at Telia Company. My team is responsible for building the Future Analytics Foundation for Telia Company’s Analytics, BI and AI domain. Right now, we are looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer, that together with us will work to deliver high performance computing capabilities across public, private clouds and data centers.

As an DevOps Automation Engineer, you will drive our journey towards a truly data driven organization, setting up future analytics platforms and enabling DevOps way of working.

You will do so by contributing in building a hybrid IT architecture integrating Cloud services with traditional data center services. You will set the guardrails and policies for a secure hybrid IT architecture. You will collaborate with developers and own the “Ops” part of DevOps to ensure that cloud-native workloads are deployed according to IT best practices for security, governance, identity and access management, and monitoring. You will work with implementing CI/CD, intelligent platform monitoring and automating processes related to cloud operations, security configuration, account management and cost optimization. You will cooperate with different stakeholders, such as business analysts, and system architects to understand needs, and that existing functionality continues to perform.

Your experience:

• Experience in Implementing hybrid IT by integrating different cloud services with back-end, traditional data center services
• Experience of Migrating legacy applications to public cloud services in a rehosting (“lift and shift”) approach or in a revising approach for efficiency, agility and disaster recovery
• Experience with one of the leading public cloud vendors AWS/GCP/Azure
• Experience with understanding Non-functional requirements, translating them to technical requirements and then implementing them
• Experience of deploying Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform preferred
• Experience of implementing CI/CD pipelines at scale
• Experience with Network and Security – setting up of Firewalls, Gateways, encryption of Data at rest, transit and in use
• Scripting, data serialization languages; YAML/JSON, Spark, Kafka, Python, Terraform, SQL, REST APIs etc.
• Experience with Containers and Orchestration (Kubernetes, Dockers, Jenkins), GitLab, building microservices etc.
• Meriting - Experience working with Data and Analytics applications
• Meriting – Experience working with Streaming applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
