Job Description

Software Test Engineer

As a Software Test Engineer design, develop, test and manage the clients cloud connected platform. The platform is a cloud based software platform providing a web based interface for administrative and analytics support for the clients GeneXpert product family. Automated tests development with a front-end written in Angular and a back-end in Java/Spring. The Work is done in cross-functional agile scrum teams together with Software Quality to develop and test cloud services for disease surveillance and systems administration in the diagnostics area.

Job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for design, development and maintenance of automated tests for the product.
• Work closely with software development to understand product requirements and to create corresponding test plans, test designs\test protocols, and build test strategies for the project.
• Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work.

Knowledge and skills:

• Working experience with Software test automation with Java, Spring using e.g., JUnit, Cucumber, Selenium.
• Experience with REST, JSON, SQL/MySQL
• Ability to work across all layers of the application, from back-end databases through to the UI
• Comfortable in using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Working experience with Git, Linux (command line)
• Knowledge about CI, Jenkins is meriting
• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible
