Nasdaq Technology is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the RealTime Clearing (RTC) product team. RTC helps clearinghouses meet the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with integrated position keeping, real-time risk and collateral management, as well as settlement, across markets. As a Software Developer your main focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about technology and constantly looking for improved ways of working and enjoys sharing knowledge with others.

We are working with an interesting and complex product with very high quality requirements. You will join a highly qualified cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers, Test Engineers, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities:

Developing new complex functionality and maintain the existing codebase in an environment handling large volumes of data and high demands for high availability

Modify existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability

Participates in IT systems strategy, development and /or integrations services to clients

Resolve problems and ensure that software meets specified standards, development specifications and client requirements

Ability to perform key roles within the agile methodology

Skills and Requirements:

Knowledge in the software development life cycle

Strong knowledge in Java programming language and back-end development is required

Knowledge/experience using Git, Linux, Teamcity, Jenkins or Jira is meriting

Experience from the financial industry or knowledge of Exchange Clearing functionalities is meriting

Excellent working proficiency in English

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

Several years of experience within software development
