Our team is made up of passionate experts in all areas and levels of Digital Experience Design: Product UX Design, Strategic Experience Design, Data Experience Design, Experience Design Research, Emerging Tech Design, Digital Taxonomy, Content Strategy, Experience Writing, Optimization Writing, Inclusive Design, Design Systems, Motion Design, and Design Ops to hold us all together and keep us efficient.

What you’ll be doing day to day

As the Head of Product UX Design, Business Ventures Domain, you will be a senior design leader responsible for driving and delivering Product UX Strategy, Research and Design of 4 large, distinct product groups for both customer and coworkers alike. The Business Ventures Domain consists of our Sustainable Living, IKEA Business(B2B), Customer Support, and IKEA Food product groups.

You are a passionate, empathetic, seasoned people leader with demonstrated experience scaling and leading large teams of 40+ people.

You are passionate about understanding the humans using our digital experiences, and leading the design of unique IKEA digital experiences to improve the lives for the many people

You are an enterprise thinker and can seamlessly navigate a complex global corporate structure to infuse human-centered-design approaches and outcomes into all areas of the domain business.

You have a strong and compelling leadership portfolio communicating your leadership beliefs, capabilities, design approach, notable career achievements, case studies of your leadership skills, design projects your teams have delivered, and more

To succeed in the role, we see that you have experience in many of the following:

· Creating an atmosphere of positivity, empathy, and compassion to foster psychological safety, connection and collaboration.

· Leading, coaching, and developing the team to promote individual growth and mentorship at all levels

· Leading Product UX discovery, strategy, design direction and delivery for a large group of customer and co-worker products

· Growing design maturity within product teams and the larger organization

· Driving human-centred design methods and approaches into an organisation

· Presenting, advocating and inspiring design strategies to teams and leadership, including experience engaging with executives up to the CEO

· Driving the business value of design by measuring and reporting design-specific outcomes for the full domain

· Leading and managing team members in different locations

We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services using new and existing technology with agile delivery methods. At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend technical, people and business skills needed to continuous development and growth.

Where our Digital Transformation is allowing us to create new ways we meet and interact with our customers and co-workers, our Digital Experience Design team is responsible for shaping what the future actually looks like. The team has a clear vision: to create everyday digital experiences for the many people through our human-centric methodologies that enable design, inspiration and innovation.

The Business Ventures domain covers the wide range of experiences and platforms around Food, Sustainability, B2B and Customer Support. This includes customer and co-worker experiences that we create with resources inside and outside of your own control. It includes all channels and everything from customer facing channels down to operational platforms that keep our company running. We are focused on creating tangible and measurable value for our customer and the business that ultimately allow our hundreds of millions of customers to live a better and more sustainable life at home.

This role reports to the Digital Experience Manager, is located Amsterdam, Netherlands and is part of the Global Digital Experience Design leadership team. Our organization has coworkers in Amsterdam, Sweden, Madrid, Shanghai and Philadelphia.
