Test Automation Engineer

Who you will be:

As a Test automation engineer for apps at Storytel, you will work with experienced and passionate people that desire to make the best Android and iOS apps in the world! We are a quality-focused organization that encourages everybody regardless of role to test our products as well as formal testers that enhance the organic testing efforts. We are now looking for Test automation engineers that have worked with writing automated tests for both Android and iOS apps, and want to help us reach our goal of a strong and reliable suite of automated tests. We have a strong sharing culture at Storytel and nurture creativity.

We have our headquarters in Stockholm but our agile teams are distributed between Stockholm, Lund, Umeå, Karlstad, and Copenhagen. You can work out of any of those offices.

You will:

- Develop an app automation strategy along with the rest of the brilliant test enthusiasts at Storytel
- Help us launch our app automation framework and integrate it into the daily work of all developers
- Write and maintain automated test suites for our main platforms, iOS and Android
- Work closely together with product owners
- Be a bridge between development teams, product owners and other departments
- Promote the quality mindset in your team
- Help identify opportunities for test automation
- Be part of our company-wide test club

You are:

An app automation engineer with past experience writing automated tests for both iOS and Android platforms, with a passion for high quality. You are seeking personal growth and a continuously improving team. You love to automate processes and care for a high-quality product. You speak and write English fluently. We work using agile methodologies in small, cross-functional teams that you will be an important part of.

Previously, you have:

- Worked with testing in various forms
- Written fully automated for both Android and iOS apps
- Strong insight into how automation frameworks for apps work and how they integrate into a CI/CD environment
- Designed and implemented a quality-focused testing process

Beneficial experience

- You have experience with non-functional testing tools and methods such as load, security and stress testing.
- You’re comfortable in Linux environments and Docker
