Developer and system administrator

Job Description

Perido is searching for a combined developer and systems administrator to our client, a global software and services company focused on solutions for communication-driven products. You will join our client's Stockholm office where you will be jointly responsible for management and development of their test environment.

In this assignment, you will take on a broad and exciting role that offers an ever-changing workday. Here you will join a team with varying expertise that focus on software development with system administration. Your key responsibilities will be:

-Develop and maintain test systems in order to make product development more efficient
-System administrate the environment
-Understand the internal customer?s challenges and situation
-Demonstrate new features
-Be updated on the latest technology in the field

To be successful in this role you must be service oriented, responsible and passionate about your work. You have a broad technical background and can work independently as well as collaborate in a team. Furthermore we believe that you enjoy learning new things and to solve problems. Requirements:

-MSc or BSc degree in telecommunications, computer science or software engineering
-Object oriented software development, preferably using Python
-Experience working with version control, preferably git and/or ClearCase
-System administration in a Linux/Unix environment
-Fluent English

Also valuable:

-Agile development
-Perl, Bash, Make, C
-Web programming: JavaScript, jQuery
-Python web tools: CherryPy, Django
-Test-driven development and/or product testing
-Configuration management
-Different flavors of Linux and Solaris
-Basic knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP, as well as protocols such as tftp, dns and dhcp.
-Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMWare)
-Contract type and hours

Full time, Start at the end of august.
