Fullstack Developer to Vembla

ABOUT THE JOB

Since Corona, the whole online grocery sector and especially Vembla as a startup has exploded and we are growing immensely fast. We are now looking for developers who want to join our team and make a real difference in the world. Vembla offers customers a unique digital two-sided platform with a vast selection of groceries and everyday goods from local retailers. The hyperlocal model we use allows our customers to receive their deliveries within 60 mins through environment-friendly modes of transport.

Vembla is currently looking for a Fullstack Developer to join the growing product team in Stockholm. At Vembla you will be joining an early phase team building the foundations of a truly global two-sided marketplace platform.

As a Fullstack Developer at Vembla you are responsible for:

• Implementing, maintaining and improve features on our platforms

• Maintaining an IT-architecture over Vembla's entire tech-stack

• Develop and maintain product roadmap for what features to implement

• Attention to detail to ensure the quality of code

• Work together with our PM, developer colleagues and UX/UI designers

• Influence which tools, programming languages, and technologies you work with

• Perform QA and ensure all releases are ready for deployment

• Be an ambassador of Vembla and have fun at work

You should be curious about how to build fast, intuitive, and well-performing user interfaces for a two-sided marketplace with modern technologies in a team together with designers and developers. We are in an exciting phase where our platform must evolve quickly in order to ensure continued scalability and growth of the product across new markets while adding new product features. You will be part of taking decision on what architecture and technologies are best suited for our future challenges. 

Requirements: 

• At least 4 years of development experience

• Experience in some of the techniques and languages we use (see below)

• Have been an active participant in successful app development projects

• Innovative thinking and curiosity – questioning paradigms

• Earlier experience of digitizing a traditional industry or vertical

• A hands-on get-stuff-done mentality
