Peaxy’s core business is building software that lets battery manufacturers and operators more intelligently manage their industrial assets. To that end they build a battery data management platform that places Peaxy at the forefront of three major technological trends: Renewable energy and batteries; cloud-based IoT infrastructure; and big data and machine learning. Peaxy applications optimise field-deployed energy storage solutions for wind and solar farms, accelerate battery R&D programs, and manage battery manufacturing processes.

After first establishing a presence in Sweden in 2016, Peaxy is now expanding to build up a lean product development team with a focus on UX/UI. As an integral part of a core team at Peaxy Sweden, every contribution you make will have a meaningful impact on their product. You will also have the technical support and guidance of the wider Peaxy family, with 25+ employees in San Jose working at the forefront of data analytics. The Peaxy Sweden team occasionally travels to Silicon Valley for company-wide meetups (COVID permitting). 

Senior Front-end Developer 

As Senior Front-end Developer at Peaxy you will be part of a passionate group building pioneering industrial applications within machine learning, data visualization, digital twins, predictive maintenance, battery R&D and manufacturing execution. To that end you will develop and maintain front-end code (Angular applications), connecting to back-end solutions via GraphQL. You will be part of a larger effort that requires collaborative engagement with other Peaxy teams and customers, working across time zones, using Agile processes. You will be encouraged to continually learn new skills and explore new software libraries and platforms.

Peaxy Sweden is based in Stockholm, where office space is available, but the company will support full-time remote work from anywhere in Sweden, with occasional company meet-ups. In addition to a competitive salary and generous pension package, full-time Peaxy employees also receive a stock options package. 

Who Peaxy is looking for

To succeed in this role you need to have several years of professional experience working with front-end development, with multiple complex projects under your belt. You need fluency and confidence in Angular (8+), RxJS and Typescript. It helps if you have experience working with data visualization libraries such as D3 or Highcharts, experience connecting to back-end frameworks via APIs such as GraphQL, or experience building on cloud application platforms (such as AWS, Heroku, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud).

You are probably a teamplayer, with a creative and solution-oriented mindset. You have an eye for good design and are comfortable with a start-up approach to development.
