Backend Developer

Are you a back-end developer with a passion for technology and the willingness to develop a Marketplace channel with digital payment solutions. Modis Sweden are looking for a Backend Developer for our customer in Gothenburg

Key Responsibilities:
You will be working with a small team, set up to implement a payment solution for our new Marketplace product.

• Backend implementation of a Payment Service Provider
• Full integration with systems design
• Develop software applications – mainly back-end development, but some front-end knowledge is highly valued
• Actively contribute to the solution design
• To recommend technical solutions based on the understanding of the business and the user flow
• Deploy, operate and maintain our applications including driving continuous improvement for better quality, functionality and cost effectiveness.

Competence Profile:
Your personality is your major reason for success, but we think you also have:

• A University degree in software engineering, computer science or similar education
• Minimum 5-Years´ Experience as Application Developer
• Good knowledge of Java 8 and Spring
• GraphQL, REST and AWS knowledge
• React, Webpack & Babel, Jest test framework is considered as a huge plus
• Experience of e-commerce and digital payment solutions is considered as a huge plus
• Experience in both front- and back-end is a bonus
• Knowledge in asynchronous programming, micro service architecture, cloud services, test automation frameworks
• Experience from mobile (connected) applications is also a great advantage
• Fluent in Swedish and English - both written and spoken
• Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
