Junior C++ Developer

We are looking for a C++ Developer with a local heart and global mind to join our Swedish product development team!

Vewd focuses on technology for Smart TVs, STBs and Blu-ray players. We work with customers like Sony, Samsung, Arris and Vestel and with some of the biggest content partners in the world, helping them deploy their services on our platform.

When you’re watching YouTube on a TV you probably see part of our work.

Vewd core products are based on Chromium developed in C++, and our content partners mostly base their applications on web technologies that run in our engine. In this position you will be working mostly with C++ but with our products the use of web standards is always close.

Responsibilities:

• C++ development of Vewd products and integration of partner components.
• Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable, portable and reliable C++ code (25M+ LOC; majority in C++, but with some Java/JavaScript/Python as well!)
• Helping maintain code quality, performance and test automation.

Requirements:

• Good, preferably great C++ skills.
• Self-driven, structured and quality-focused personality.
• A team player, flexible and easy going
• Good working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with web technology.
• Experience working with embedded systems.
• Embedded Linux or Android experience.
