Real time system engineer

Now we are looking for a real time system engineer who are going to be a part of our client’s IoT and Energy management platform team of 25 people, who are located in Sweden, Poland and Germany. They have 2 development teams and 12 people are located in Solna and consists of developers, product owners and teach lead. 

The team works with developing the infrastructure and functionality to enable system flexibility throughout their business initiatives, resulting in the build-up of their IoT and Energy Management platform. They are building a next generation industrial IoT platform for secure data collection, data driven operation and maintenance as well as control of production and demand flexibility. 
 
They are currently working with platform development and integration of stationary batteries, EV charging infrastructure, facility heating, PV inverters as well as transformer stations. To enable a rapid development process, they are utilizing a model based design workflow. Models are developed and code generated in C/C++ from MATLAB/Simulink. In order to ensure deterministic time response and high availability on edge hardware they are using hypervisor technology to combine a virtualized VxWorks real time operating system with Linux. To connect to external systems the preferred communication method is OPC UA over TSN. However, other industry specific protocols also need to be implemented.
