QA Engineer, Android

Opera Software is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Android team in Linköping, Sweden. Our small team of dedicated, experienced designers and engineers is responsible for the Opera Mini browser that has more than 100 million active Android users worldwide.

The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of mobile platforms and web technologies, as well as good programming and analytic skills. You will cooperate closely with developers to ensure that we continue to release products of great quality.

We´re contributing to and implementing new web standards and tweaking and optimizing a massive code base to behave well on limited Android devices and TVs. Opera Mini, with its 250 million users, was born and created in Sweden.

Responsibilities
* Report relevant bugs during daily ad-hoc testing on device.
* Maintain a good overall understanding of the product to identify regression scopes and find weaknesses in a solution quickly.
* Organize and prioritize release testing within a limited amount of time to ensure maximum quality.
* Create test cases (both manual and scripted) for new and existing features

Requirements
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* Self-motivated, structured, quality-driven and able to take initiative
* Experience with quality assurance and software or product testing
* Great multitasking skills
* Fluency in English, written and spoken, and good communication skills.

Ideal job requirements
* Experience with mobile platforms such as Android.
* Experience with test automation.
* Solid knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS and HTTP
* Solid Python skills
