We are looking for a skilled software engineer that enjoy working in teams and have a passion for problem solving
Your role
The work will be to develop software with focus on signal processing and jamming which both are complex real-time systems. This involves specification, architecture, design, coding, test, documentation and a lot of problem solving. Our software and test environment is mostly written in C++. We constantly work to create high-performing, accountable and effective teams and therefore use appropriate parts of the agile framework to develop our software. There will be many opportunities to grow your competence in this job, where you will have the possibility to work with, and improve your skills in C++, Java and VHDL among others.
Your profile
You probably have a Master degree in Engineering Physics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. You have professional experience in software engineering and good skills in programming C++. Knowledge of Java, VHDL and Matlab is a plus.
As a person you like problem solving and to try new solutions on a target hardware. You are committed, driven, creative and you enjoy working in teams. You should have interest in how your part fits in the bigger picture and are motivated by, and like to set high goals. Experience from Scrum, Kanban or other agile methodology is a plus.
As we are working in a global organisation it is vital that you handle Swedish and English both verbally and in writing.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be part of:
The section Digital Processing SW is a cross-functional, very competent and driven group that develops the front-end parts of Saabs radar warner and ESM/ELINT systems. It includes functions for detection and categorization of radar stations as well as generation of jamming functions for self-protection. These systems are used at all times to generate a situational awareness for the pilot and for those that plan flight missions which poses high requirements on reliability and real-time performance.
