Description

The Customer is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team and create the next generation of financial services data products. You’ll work on real-world problems in a dynamic environment with talented team members to deliver quality software.

Participate in all phases of software life cycle including architecture, technical design, implement, test, and launch
Contribute towards overall quality, scalability, system performance, or security of shared services components.
Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements, implement new functionality and drive continuous improvements

Successful candidates will be curious, independent thinkers who are excited by challenges and driven by building great products. They will play a key role in developing our Customer’s data product offerings.

Responsibilities
Participate in early stage of projects in defining the platform for the next generation data products
Develop cloud-native systems from ground up using a modern technology stack
Build user interfaces, APIs, processing pipelines, and data stores
Collaborate with product managers to transform requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions
Develop experiments to validate new product ideas
Work in small, highly technical teams employing CI/CD and Agile/Scrum practices

Mandatory competence and experience:

- Python and a Python web framework (Django, Flask, etc.)
- JavaScript and a JavaScript web framework (React, Ember, Vue, etc.)
- Design and implementation of scalable web services in the cloud
- Highly technical and used to modern technology
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Preferred competence and experience:

- Experience from the financial industry
- Experience working with agile methods

Preferred personal qualities:

- Highly motivated

- Independent thinker
- Collaborates excellent in teams
