Snicks is the app for documentaries and storytelling in audio, text and image. We publish high quality content with the desire to entertain and inform our users, whenever and wherever! The content is published both in audio and/or text and image. A story usually takes about 5-10 minutes to listen to or read which is perfect when you’re on the go, waiting for the bus or whenever you have a few minutes to spare. The stories are created by professional producers and writers through a variety of collaborations.
We need more creative minds and energetic people to help us make Snicks become the best way read and listen to stories and become premier everyday entertainment. If you’re still reading this, it means we got your attention. Great! Then you should come join our team in Stockholm.
Responsibilities
Being part of Snicks means having the courage to try inventive ideas and searching for solutions that will result in an even more appealing experience for our users. Since we recently launched our app there’s always room for improvements and new implementations. You will, therefore, act from the beginning, getting a grip of the product and understand its future needs.
We believe that you, together with the rest of the development team, will be able to take full control over the app and its features more or less from the get go. If you get thrilled by striving to understand a bunch of different data in a complex environment - this position suits you well. If you also feel excitement of working in an agile environment when things can rapidly change from one day to another, then you should join our team!
More specifically you will assume the responsibility for all backend development. This means that your ability to manage everything from requirements to development and testing are key success factors.
Qualifications
- Experienced in PHP
- Experienced in Laravel
- Experience with frontend (CMS)
- Experience in structuring and managing a platform development process
- 3+ years of development experience
- Fluent in Swedish and English
