Machine Learning engineer to fintech company Svea

We are looking for a skilled Machine Learning engineer to join the Risk team in Svea’s business area Webpay. The Risk team manages and develops systems within risk assessment, scoring and fraud detection, all of which are highly valued and considered business critical functions.

About the role
Svea’s business area Webpay develops online payment solutions. When the customer chooses a credit payment method it is crucial for Svea to make sure that the risk assessment is performed in an excellent way in order to secure the payment.

In the role as Machine Learning Engineer you will be part of a small tight-knit team within a larger team, who work to continuously develop and manage the applications together using mainly .Net C# and Python. Due to the character of the machine learning field in general and the applications in particular you will have a close dialogue with the business to understand their needs and to explain your solutions, both to tech and non-tech people.

The team works in a data driven manor, collecting relevant information, and basing decisions on this. Since it is a small team, they collect the data themselves, so you need to know your way around SQL and understand how to set up relevant measuring points. An important principle the team works with is MVP (minimum viable product), to be able to test new ideas fast without larger development cost. Also, release of new features and functionality is done as often as possible and not in any determined sprints.

Skills and competences:

- Skilled Machine Learning Engineer with several years’ work-life experience specifically in ML
- Good knowledge in Python
- Technical interest and experience in .Net C#
- Fluent in English
