Senior Solution Designer

We are now looking for a new colleague to our Web & Solutions team, as a Solution Designer, where you will work in a dynamic environment where innovation is part of our DNA.

As a Solution Designer you will play a central role in developing and implementing an application with a strong focus on end to end customer experience based on innovative technologies and architecture. It is key to build applications for self-services in our customer portal enabling new possibilities.

You will have a wide scope of responsibility and freedom to affect what is being developed and in what way. You will have the opportunity to test out new technologies and concepts in order to deliver what brings most value to our customers and have close collaboration with the rest of the team.

Your responsibilities

As a Solution Designer you will be part of a dedicated Scrum team and act as a bridge between business and technical knowledge. You will translate user stories into detailed solutions and integration design, following Vattenfall architecture guidelines. Also, you will team up with IT Solution Architects to collaborate on technical aspects by following Vattenfall IT framework and guidelines. Other parts of your job:

• To refine and review business requirements to ensure the most effective use of infrastructure and IT systems

• Development according to development best practice principles

• Contribute to the Agile team norms and coding standards, software design best practices, and architecture strategy.

Your background

We believe that you have a university degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering and related subjects and more than 5 years’ experience as a developer. You have/are:

• Experience in the tech stack: Java, J2EE

• Experience in frameworks: Spring, Azure Cloud

• A deep interest in driving value-creating innovation

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• More than 3 years of experience in Agile frameworks
