Long story short
SVT is the Swedish national public television broadcaster. Their vision is to contribute to a more inquisitive and informed Sweden. Today, it is estimated that 9 out of 10 Swedes use SVT each week, where more and more people use digital services such as SVT Play and the mobile app. They are proud to deliver products that deliver news and entertainment to millions of people.

The DataOps team
You will be part of the department Production and Technology, which is an organization delivering SVT:s online services together with SVTi. The DataOps team sits in between eight SVT Play teams, five news teams, two children's teams and an AI-team. The team also works closely with the analytics and publishing departments.
Consisting of developers, data engineers, data scientists, and analysts, the team builds secure, scalable data infrastructure and services for the whole organization. The team is supporting analysis as well as personalization and other data-focused solutions while encouraging an experiment-driven approach to explore new areas in the data domain. They use Tableau for analytics and have built their platform on Google Cloud, BigQuery, and Airflow.
They are at the beginning of a data-driven journey where you will be a part of developing new solutions in an environment where teams are truly autonomous and given the freedom to choose how to work and with what tools. Kindness, helping each other, and having time for learning is important so they try to mob program now and then. They also have a 10% free hack time or learning time for those who want.
The missing link
To feel comfortable in this role, you are probably an experienced Backend Developer with a great interest in data. You are familiar with at least one imperative programming language such as Java, Python or Go. You are strong in SQL and with an interest in data science and machine learning. As a person, you are curious, team-oriented, and enjoy solving problems including a large amount of data together with your colleagues.
A couple of things that would be helpful but is not mandatory:
Skills in streaming/real-time processing, data processing in python/R, and data security/privacy.Belief in a joint team effort where pair- or mob programming is part of the common process.Interest in frontend/Android/iOS can also be useful as they support several client libs.
