Graduate with interest in Big Data and GIS

Friday are currently looking for a student/graduate/junior-level to support our client onshore innovative geographical data processing team, with a doers attitude looking for a place to grow and expand the horizon.

THE POSITION:

As a student/graduate/junior-level geographical data processor you’re expected to support various departments and teams with various tasks ranging from simple data management tasks, automatic data processing using geographical tools and through already defined applications and procedures but also to support the making of new tools and improvements of existing. 

MAIN DUTIES:

Support the CAD/GIS team in the daily work with tasks like collection, distribution, storage, analysis, processing, presentation of geographic data or geographic information through GIS applications or other spatial tools. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Have a University degree in Data or equivalentHave Computer knowledgeGood knowledge in MS OfficeBasic database practice and logic problem solvingBasic programming experience preferred in Python/Java/VB etcFamiliar with geographic products (for example shape files and imagery data), and platforms like, AutoCAD, ESRI Desktop products and/or the ETL tools like FME from Safe SoftwareCommunicate fluent in Swedish and English, oral and written. The company language is EnglishOther needs are that you are open and communicative, and easy to connect with people

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at the client company after a duration of 6-12 months.
