About the position

Perido is looking for a Senior Compiler Developer to Modelon, an industry leader in model-based systems engineering that brings innovative simulation products to market. Modelon has grown substantially since its inception and their global placement has been strategic – bringing their people and products closer to clients. Today, they serve a clientele base across a wide range of industry sectors which include some of the largest companies in the world. This position is placed either in Stockholm, Gothenburg or Lund.

Your daily tasks

Here you’ll be a part of a development team of highly skilled SW engineers that are developing OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit to be a key component in Modelon’s vision to build a system modeling and simulation platform of the future. Modelon’s OPTIMICA Compiler Toolkit is an advanced Modelica-based mathematical engine on the market which offers users a powerful solution for automation, simulation and optimization of system behaviors throughout the model-based design cycle. The toolkit is in production incustomized workflows as well as in OEM partner toolchains. The work provides great opportunities to interact with skilled colleagues within the SW domain as well as expert users of the tool.

Your qualifications

To be successful in this role you must be service oriented, responsible and passionate about your work. You have a broad technical background and can work independently as well as collaborate in a team. Furthermore, we believe that you enjoy learning new things and investigate problems and always strive for finding the best possible solution.

Required skills and qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience developing high performing compilers
• Highly experienced in front-end development, symbolic processing and code optimization
• Ability to deliver efficient and reusable code that can be understood by others
• Good communication skills, including English
• Track record of building production quality software

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Experienced with the Modelica language
• Experienced with build systems (Ant, Make, CMake) and continuous integration infrastructures (Jenkins)
• Experienced with Docker
• Experienced with development in Java, Python, C/C++ and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Ability to teach/mentor junior team member
• Contributed to software system architecture development
• Comfortable with agile practices like pair programming and code reviews
• PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Contract type and hours

Full time. Start according to agreement but ASAP. Employment at Modelon.
