We are now searching for an Opto Engineer.

Our Hardware team in Stockholm, Sweden, is looking for an Opto Engineer.

As an Opto Engineer you may:

• Participate as opto resource in different development projects.
• Characterize optical performance on pluggable transceivers and passive- or active filters.
• Work with advanced optical technologies like xQAM, Coherent systems, ROADMs, Raman/EDFA- amplifiers. Both on component level as well as in transmission links.
• Write with clarity detailed opto specification, test plan, and test reports.
• Work closely with multiple opto module vendors.
• Work with pre-studies on new technologies or special use-cases.
• Support your colleagues and share knowledge with them.
• Work closely with cross functional product development teams in software, mechanical, and test software.

Expected Experience and Qualifications:

• M.Sc. or PhD. in Physics, Telecommunication, or similar, with a few years of industry experience.
• Fundamental understanding of fiber optics for telecommunications. Component level and/or on system level.
• Experience from work in HW/Opto laboratory with test instruments like BERT, OSA, High speed oscilloscopes.
• Experience from SW development for lab application using Python, Matlab or similar
• Experience of HW development for optical communications.
• The candidate shall be flexible, innovative and driven.
• The candidate shall be structured and thorough.
• The candidate shall have good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
