We are seeking an experienced quality assurance engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation. Successful individuals will be capable of understanding complex systems and developing the tools to test the same and seeking to continuously raise the bar for QAE practices, establishing and documenting procedures which are applicable company-wide.

You will be joining an experienced team of developers, architects and testers who are experts within video, network and distributed systems.

The core component of the Sye solution is the streaming protocol. As a quality assurance engineer you will join our protocol team and develop, maintain and perform tests and test strategies in order to secure functionality, performance, robustness, compatibility and maintainability of the protocol.

• Produce and maintain a test strategy for the Sye streaming protocol
• Develop test scripts (Python or other scripting language)
• Develop automated tests (Jenkins)
• Develop tests for functionality, performance, robustness and compatibility
• Produce test dashboards for automated test results
• Produce test report documents

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Professional quality assurance and testing experience
• Fluency in SQA methodology and tools
• Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, performance and stress testing, implementing and maintaining high quality test automation of both client and server systems
• Experience building and designing test cases including knowledge of test methodologies
• Experience with API automation testing including unit test automation frameworks
• Very good knowledge of automated test tools and strategies.
• Experience of developing test cases using a scripting language
• Knowledge of communication protocols and streaming
• Knowledge of Linux

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses
• Experience with open source tools and resources
• Master's degree
