About our R&D - Core System Software 
In our part of the R&D, we code the base software on the Core Computer to refine computational power and to enable successful integration with applications. Our teams work in an agile manner organized according to SAFe to be able to quickly adjust to changing requirements.  
We work with a-state-of-the-art embedded multiprocessor environment from Nvidia including hypervisors, Linux, QNX, Rust and other modern technologies. 

Role specifics 
This is a computer built into the Volvo car that will transport ourselves and our families around. Quality code is therefore fundamental for us. In our existing agile teams, we need software engineers who can work through all phases of software development, from design to delivery. As a team member, you will work together with other engineers, a scrum master, and a product owner to build parts of our system. You will - together with your team – break down and estimate user stories, execute your sprint plan and deliver into our main branch.  We have a clear vision of where we are heading with our new core system platform, but there are a lot of technical and architectural decisions to be made, that’s where we need your expertise. 

Requirements 
We believe you are a true software engineer who is motivated by challenging tasks in a complex and innovative environment. Needless to say- technology is your real passion. You enjoy learning from others, as well as, sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. You are fluent in English and can communicate effectively with all types of stakeholders. You are analytical and a problem-solver - aware of that there are multiple solutions for a problem. The challenge is to find the most suitable for us.  
For this position, the majority of development is in C++14. Experience with C++ is required and experience with Python and working in a Linux environment is considered a plus.
