Your role

You will be a part of the team that delivers automation of the physical power trading and dispatching of the power fleet. That brings you to the center of our core business and your work will impact how the electricity market works now and in the future!

The team operates according to agile development methodologies and works in close collaboration with the product owners throughout the whole development life-cycle. We focus on building high performing services and features with the customer and usability in focus.

You’re a Java backend developer with a DevOps mindset. You love to build advanced services and feel responsible for its delivery in a cloud-based environment (AWS) and have experience using Kafka or similar stream processing tool(s).

Key responsibilities:

- Collaborate with your team to design and implement deployable features and services while enhancing the overall architecture

- Full development life-cycle responsibility, from conceptualizing through to daily operations

- Ensure service operability by implementing proper security, monitoring, alerts and reporting for the infrastructure and follow up issues and incidents in day to day operations

- Ensure good code quality confirmed by proper testing and static analysis metrics

- Ensure that features and services developed are performant and scalable

Deep understanding of object oriented programming in Java and have experience from Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS/Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, TDD and agile development.

Experience with AWS using Terraform as well as Kafka or similar stream processing frameworks is highly appreciated.

You have appropriate university-level education, and when you speak and write in English, you do so with high confidence.
