THE JOB
We are looking for a person with 3 or more years of professional experience with back-end web development.
The candidate needs experience in planning, developing and implementing features and functionality in our different environments. The candidate needs to be structured and able to prioritise tasks accordingly.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Design and develop object-oriented software in the PHP programming language
* Together with other staff design the architecture of new features and projects
* Maintain and provide ongoing support of the existing code base
* Provide Tier-2 technical support to Customer Care personnel
YOUR SKILLS
* Extended experience with the PHP programming language
* Advanced MySQL knowledge, including proficiency in query optimization
* Experience in systems architecture
* Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
* Experience working with source control, specifically SVN
* Knowledge of the LAMP architecture and related concepts
* Shell scripting experience is a plus
* General understanding of Web Services, JSON and SOAP
* Detail-oriented, creative, dependable and trustworthy, with a positive attitude
* Strong analytical and communication skills are needed, as well as an ability to multitask, collaborate, and work well within a team environment
