Senior UX Designer to automotive industry in Gothenburg

We are now looking for skillful people in the User Experience and Analysis area. Will it be you? Are you experienced within design digital solutions that create value for both users and for business? At our client you will do research to analyze and describe user behavior, needs and drives. You will create and communicate design artefacts, visualizing concept-, interaction- and graphical design. You will also evaluate design artefacts through user testing as well as collaborate with Business and IT teams throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

EPTS is a portfolio at Volvo Group IT that works with embedded products, tools and support for factories and workshops all over the world. In a day to day setting, their systems support and enable the operators in there production plant to install the right embedded components into the vehicle and make there transportation solutions smarter and more sustainable. EPTS is built up by a bunch of wonderful people, enjoying their job and working great together. They are based in Sweden, Poland and Brazil, and this position is for one of their teams in Sweden.

They have unique knowledge within the Embedded Software area and work thoroughly with the quality of their releases. They also focus on ways of working with agile methods, team focus and continuous improvements to constantly make sure that they are delivering the right thing at the right time and give the best value to their stakeholders and users.

You will, together with your team at Volvo group IT, make sure that you understand what challenges to solve and that you deliver value for our stakeholders and users. You will primarily work with Lean UX methods, like design thinking, user stories, analysis of business requirements, interviews and workshops, prototypes and user validation to name a few. On a more detailed level it’s all about getting the work done, so you will also need to do other work that is required for the team to move forward in the best way possible. This might include taking care of the support, handling maintenance items, doing admin activities around your work, communicate and make sure that you contribute like a “glue” to the team.

The assignment you will come into is all about working as a team. Togetherness and transparency in the team is key. You will belong to a great team, work together and meet frequently in shorter meetings. The team goals are more important than the individual goals, so be ready to stretch yourself across different areas of work to make your team succeed with their goals. In times of Covid-19, they are primarily working in a virtual setting with Microsoft Teams and skype, combined with emails and phone calls. With all the different tools to collaborate they need you to be comfortable with this setting and do your best to connect, communicate and commit to work and relationships to make work as smooth as it can be.
