About the Analytics team

The analytics team's mission is to enable our organization to be data-driven. Our challenge is to merge and harmonize information to enable our stakeholders to absorb the information and act. An important piece to achieve this is our data warehouse which is the source for analysis and reporting for our customers.

Our data platform is fully cloud based (Microsoft Azure). The key technologies used in our data pipelines are Apache Spark (Scala), Azure SQL Server and Azure Data Lake Analytics. We do not expect candidates to have expertise or experience in all areas, but we do expect an open mind for learning and eventually be comfortable in several of them.

The team strives to making development as easy and efficient as possible by adopting automation. This mindset impacts how we work and should not be foreign to the candidate. You build it - you run it, but also set up a build and release pipeline!

Your profile

A successful candidate is a curious problem solver. He or she applies software engineering techniques and knows that there is more work to be done than being able to run without errors. Further, you have expertise in either traditional data warehousing using relational databases and/or with the newer paradigm, separating data and compute.

We are a small team, co-located, that puts an emphasis on collaboration. The candidate we are looking for is willing to share their knowledge, but is also curious about areas that are outside their expertise. This is not limited to the technical domain - we need to understand and challenge requirements and what we do, to build the right things.
