Cloud and DevOps Engineer

We are now looking for a passionate and strong Cloud and DevOps Engineer.

Are you passionate about Engineering in an agile software development context? We are looking for a passionate Cloud Engineer who can support our client building the next generation cloud platform in accordance with their strategy and vision. Moving their workloads to the Azure or AWS Cloud platform is part of a bigger digital transformation to support our clients business ambitions.

You will join a Cloud Foundation team to become a part of our clients exciting journey towards a product-oriented software company. You will be part of the cloud journey as they deliver cloud platform within the automotive industry and helping our client's cloud application team(s) move forward. Our client ensure high quality and adaptability in their delivery.

What you’ll do:

You will be working with the rest of the team to improve and operate the container based platform based on Kubernetes. The platform offers below services:

# Container runtime and orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker

# Cloud: AWS, Aliyun, Azure

# Service mesh: Istio

# Databases: Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis

# Tools: Terraform, Helm, Harbor

# CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub/Azure Devops, Spinnaker, ArgoCD

# Scripting and languages: Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible

# Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, Splunk, Jaeger, Sentry

# Security: Vault, Falco, Trivy

If you have experience and interest in also being Scrum Master for the team, there might be an opportunity for a combined role of Engineer and Scrum Master in the team.

Main responsibilities:

Development and operations of other modern Cloud platforms, based on Kubernetes, running containers.

Technical Experience/Skills/Certifications:

# Minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience as a SW engineer

# Experience in Cloud DevOps or SRE engineering to work proactively and reactively with Cloud platform operations

# Documented Azure and/or AWS knowledge is essential

# Hands on experience in Kubernetes and Docker in AWS and/or Azure

# Experience in infrastructure automation with e.g. Terraform and Ansible

# Experienced in cloud services technologies

# WAS, OpenShift and Cloud Pak is beneficial

# Good English; both text and speech

Start: asap.

Duration: longterm.

Extent: Full-time, 40h/week.

Compensation: Negotiable.
