What do we offer?
Our unit, Safe Vehicle Automation, consist of around 600 skilled engineers who are responsible for everything from research and advanced engineering, to implementation, verification and validation of current and future customer offers in the area of Safety, Vehicle control and Autonomous Drive. Within our Agile Release Train (ART) Active Safety Functions, we develop functions such as Collision Avoidance, Automatic Parking and Driver Support. We develop and integrate functionality and SW into a complete product, making use of sensor input such as radar, camera, ultrasonic and lidar, that build a comprehensive perception of the car’s surroundings.

What you’ll do
In this position as Senior Data Scientist in our team your main responsibilities will be to contribute in concept design phase and support in the development of application software for Active Safety Features. You will drive the work with defining solutions for using big data as input for SW development within our area and will also have an important role in the development of test strategies.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a self-driven team player with high ambitions! A person who is curious, innovative and entrepreneurial. You care about the people around you, and get things done.
You have an academic background and work experience in areas such as machine learning and data mining, including machine learning algorithms, graph theory, numerical optimization, statistical modeling and pattern recognition. You stay up-to-date on deep learning such as self-supervised learning and graph neural networks.

You possess strong programming skills in Python, R, C++ etc. Having  experience in big data processing framework such as Hadoop is meritorious. It is also a plus if you have experience from working with SW development, especially for safety critical systems (preferably according to ISO26262)  in the automotive industry.

You can tackle complex analytical problems, create prototype systems and transform the proof of concept to production.You have the ability to break down big scopes within data science to be able to understand the necessary steps to develop methods for conducting automated analysis of large amounts of data and implementing these techniques into useful codes and presenting results.

We believe that you have a drive to learn continuously and are flexible to broaden your experience to fit the agile way of working. You are happy to share your knowledge and are enthusiastic in helping your colleagues to improve their competence in this area. Finally, you are fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driver’s license (B).
